EAPP expert meeting “Personality and Culture”

The next EAPP expert meeting will be held at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, September 29 - October 1, 2010, on the topic of “Personality and Culture”.

The meeting will be organized by Jerome Rossier, Koorosh Massoudi, Anu Realo, and Juri Allik.

Purpose of meeting

The proposed expert meeting aims to bring together 20-25 researchers in the field of personality psychology who are interested in cultural differences along with experts from other disciplines such as anthropology, cross-cultural psychology, and quantitative social sciences. The aim of the meeting is to discuss the state-of-art and the future research directions in the area of personality and culture studies in the context of different models of culture and various multi-level research strategies.

Costs: There is no participation fee. Participants of the meeting will be offered complementary refreshments, lunch, and dinner on the days of the meeting. Funding for transportation and accommodation will not be provided.

Abstracts: If you wish to participate and present a paper at the expert meeting, please send an abstract to Anu Realo (anu.realo@ut.ee) by April 30, 2010, at the latest. Abstracts should be no more than 400 words in length.

All proposals will be assessed by the organizers of the meeting on academic merit and relevance to the meeting themes. You will be notified of acceptance of your proposal by May 15, 2010.
